Japanese Doll (Girl), Hand Painted Suncatcher

Part of my Japanese Dolls collection. Each girl is painted by hand and has her own story.

Takara keeps her spirit young and never takes life too seriously. She loves supporting young artists and spending time with her children.

Keiko is gentle and shy, and dyes silk in colours taken from nature, sometimes using flowers.

Yasu is the eldest and most traditional of the family. She loves green tea, tai chi and arranging flowers.

Kasumi looks serious, but she is the most eager girl to talk to. She loves books and philosophy and dreams of travelling to Kathmandu.

Hand painted with professional glass colours that stay clear and do not fade. It has a loop at each top corner for hanging, and comes alive in a window or bright room.

Clear glass, glass paint, tinned copper wire

Size
Approx. 10 x 10 cm, weight approx. 110 g

Care
Finished with a protective layer of wax. To clean, dry buff with a soft cloth, without water or cleaning products.
